HTTP2 and the New Web

Browsers are becoming more of a platform than simply a method of accessing web pages. We’re building huge Javascript applications to deliver to clients and then allowing them to access data via APIs.

HTTP2 is the first major update to the HTTP spec in over 15 years — an eternity in Internet time — and it promises to work better for the new normal in web application development. Delivery of multiple streams, server pushes, and header compression will all influence web developers and improve speed for users.
