A “Crazy” Workplace isn’t a Good Sign

The introduction to Basecamp’s next book, The Calm Company, came out yesterday. In it, the authors decry the new normal of working long but inefficient hours.

This is especially true for creative and engineering teams. It’s impossible to get much work done when you don’t have more than 30 minutes of focus time without meetings. Hopefully more managers and companies are seeing this and will turn things around.
